Join Denise Purgold, UMFS Lead Therapist and LCSW, for a free introduction to trauma and resilience. This class is courtesy of Greater Richmond SCAN (Stop Child Abuse Now). Training content will cover: understanding trauma and adverse childhood experiences (ACES), trauma’s impact on the brain and development, trauma’s impact on at risk health behaviors and strategies to build resilience. Please note that this training contains information about trauma and may bring up strong emotions for participants. Registration is required as space is limited to the first 60 registrants.
