There are many ways to get involved at UMFS. Learn more about how you can make a difference below.
Become a Foster or Adoptive Parent
UMFS brings children, teens, and parents together to form foster and adoptive families. We have the resources to support you in providing a loving and stable home for a child or teen.
Volunteers are a vital part of the UMFS community. Last year volunteers supported the families at UMFS by bringing them meals in times of crisis. Volunteers brought joy to the children at UMFS by providing supplies to celebrate birthdays. Volunteers provided outdoor games and support for our school field day, and they purchased books and goodies to welcome students back to the classroom. And so much more….
We welcome United Methodist churches and churches from other denominations to partner with us. While UMFS is no longer officially owned by the United Methodist Church, we continue our strong ministry partnership. We are grateful for this connection. Local churches provide passionate volunteers, dedicated foster families, much needed prayers, and critical donations to support the high-risk children and families at UMFS.
Your donation will deliver critical support for children in foster care. Your generosity will help children struggling with mental health challenges to heal. Your caring support will provide specialized education for children struggling with behavioral and developmental challenges.
