At UMFS, we are unwavering champions for children, teens, and families, collaborating with communities to help them reach their full potential. Each month, we name an employee as Unwavering Champion of the Month for going above and beyond in upholding our agency’s mission and values.
It’s our pleasure to announce Mike Hollister as our Unwavering Champion for January. In just a little more than a year with UMFS’s IT Department, Mike has mastered various programs and processes and in turn has been able to provide high-quality and critical support to colleagues.
Mike’s collaboration skills and strong relationship-building skills shine on a daily basis, said Lindsey Layne, UMFS Associate Vice President of Strategy and Innovation. “His flexibility, communication style, and positive outlook make him a valuable addition to our team.”
Mike made significant contributions during the roll out of Ring Central, a new phone system for the Richmond campus. He also partnered with members of IT, the Strategy Team, Finance, and various other programs to support implementation of UMFS’s new Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.
“There were bumps in the road,” Lindsey said of the EHR roll out. “But Mike has taken them all in stride and persevered.”
