Project LIFE Volunteer Inquiry
Project LIFE (Living Independently, Focusing on Empowerment) is a partnership between UMFS and the Virginia Department of Social Services. The program helps equip foster youth with life skills so they can be successful when they age out of foster care. Volunteer mentors play a critical role in the life of foster youth, providing support and role modeling.
The Project LIFE mentor program is currently only running in the greater Richmond region. (Other regions of the state are on hold.) Richmond’s fall mentor class is full, but we welcome your application now for winter 2020. Please submit the form below and we will reach out to you in January 2020 to begin the process. Thank you for your interest!
