For high-risk children who need extra attention, our professionally trained therapeutic mentors support, coach and train kids and young adults ages 8 to 21 with emotional, behavioral or daily living challenges. UMFS creates opportunities for success through structured philosophies and approaches that are customized for each child.

UMFS uses Collaborative Problem Solving, a strengths-based, trauma-informed approach that empowers kids and families to collaboratively discuss problems and develop solutions.
Real-Life Work Experience
Through UMFS’ Work2Succeed program, young people, ages 15 to 21, gain valuable, hands-on job experience at local businesses 8-10 hours per month.
