Social Worker

SUMMARY

Provide clinical social work and supportive services to Treatment Foster Care, Adoption, and Family CARE clients and families. Provide a full range of services including intake, assessment, clinical support, crisis intervention, referral, report writing, family reunification, family recruitment and discharge planning and maintaining case files.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

Master’s degree in a field related to social work (sociology, psychology, special education, and counseling) with a minimum of one-year direct service experience or a Bachelor’s degree in a field related to social work with two years direct service experience. Demonstrated ability to apply sound clinical casework and counseling skills to children and families, understand treatment modalities and their implications for services to families and youth.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS, TRAININGS

Must possess a valid driver’s license and have an acceptable driving record and proof of automobile insurance coverage. Additional mandatory trainings are required dependent on position and program. Refer to UMFS Learning Institute plan.
