Clinical Support Specialist

UMFS is seeking a PRN Clinical Support Specialist for the Lynchburg Region.


Provide comprehensive clinical support services including mentoring, counseling, parent education, life skills, and behavior management to children and families in level four therapeutic foster care.

Serves as a role model for clients in the areas of ethics, morals, appearance, spirituality and lifestyle principles. 


Master’s degree in social work or a related human service discipline and two years experience with family or children services or bachelor’s degree in social work or a related human service discipline with at least three years experience in family and children’s services or a combination of degree and experience.  Demonstrated knowledge, skills and experience in the following: child and adult mental health; family functioning and development; assessing risks, needs, and strengths; identifying and understanding environmental stressors and coping mechanisms; and working with persons to resolve problems and prevent future crisis.


Valid Driver’s license with acceptable driving record and proof of auto insurance.
