We’re all in this together

It’s been an unprecedented and challenging few weeks. Despite this, our team of unwavering champions has stepped up to ensure minimal disruption to our services. Our commitment to our mission has remained and so too has yours – for that, we thank you!

We’ve been so encouraged by your outpouring of support for the youth and families we serve, as well as for our staff, and will do everything we can to reciprocate.

The deep need for connection is critical to us both at this time, which is why we created this web page. Please see below for updates from UMFS regarding our services, how we’re responding to COVID-19, and resources for families, volunteers, and donors amidst this unprecedented time. We will be updating this page regularly, so please check back often!

Important Updates

Important Updates – Week of July 13th

No Active COVID-19 Cases; All Programs Accepting Referrals

We are happy to share that UMFS has no active cases of COVID-19 at this time, and all programs are currently accepting referrals. Youth who are seeking placement in the Child & Family Healing Center (CFHC) must first test negative for COVID-19. Information about visitors and family therapy will be shared with families during the admission process to CFHC. We remain committed to the health and safety of the entire UMFS community, and we will continue to take every step to keep our facilities clean and allow our staff and youth to work together while still adhering to physical distancing and the requirement of wearing masks. We are grateful to our staff and the Virginia Department of Health for their support, guidance, and commitment to serving our children, youth, and families in a healthy and safe environment.
