UMFS Unwavering Champion Kelly Trump

September 27, 2018

Each month, UMFS recognizes one of our employees as the Unwavering Champion of the Month. This award celebrates the UMFS mission and how our employees bring that mission to life. Our mission: UMFS is an unwavering champion for high-risk children and families, collaborating with communities to help them reach their full potential.

Our Unwavering Champion for September is Kelly Trump, Administrative Assistant at the UMFS Campus in Richmond and champion for The Open Table program.

Kelly is an excellent problem solver who works hard for her team, said Rachelle Butler, Kelly’s former supervisor. “She has one of the highest EQs I have seen,” said Rachelle, who is now Assistant Director of Residential Life at Child & Family Healing Center. “Her intuition is her superpower.”

From managing high-risk crisis situations to bridging the gap between the faith-based community and government, Kelly has proven that no task is too big. “Kelly is amazing at relationships,” Rachelle said.

Kelly’s eager to learn and has developed a skill-set that makes her a jack-of-all-trades. She’s planned conferences, produced newsletters, and created an Open Table website. She even helped UMFS and Open Table earn media coverage in the Richmond Times-Dispatch.

Kelly has done a tremendous amount of work cultivating the UMFS and Open Table relationship, Rachelle added. Her creative skills and relentless pursuit of solutions resulted in new policies and procedures and quality-improvement strategies that have helped Open Table grow statewide.
