UMFS Unwavering Champion Bekah Closs

November 8, 2019

At UMFS, we are unwavering champions for high-risk children and families, collaborating with communities to help them reach their full potential. Each month, we name an employee as Unwavering Champion of the Month for going above and beyond in upholding our agency’s mission and values.

We’re a little tardy — but pleased nonetheless! — to announce Bekah Closs as our Unwavering Champion for October. As Associate Director of Marketing and Communications, Bekah is building far-reaching relationships with both her UMFS colleagues and UMFS community partners, and she’s doing so with great professionalism and poise.

“Bekah is a joy to work with,” said UMFS Volunteer Coordinator Kate Ockerman. “And she’s taken the time and energy to build relationships across the state.”

Bekah’s passion is evidenced by the thoughtful and heartfelt way in which she approaches her work. “Not only does Bekah ask good questions and meet with our foster care recruiters and trainers to understand their needs,” Kate said, “she also spends time as a volunteer mentor.”

In addition to building relationships, Bekah has a propensity for producing high-quality materials and presentations. She’s a creative thinker who’s able to identify audience-specific marketing techniques.

Bekah is a wonderful resource at UMFS, and we’re grateful for all she does. “She’s an excellent teammate, both personally and for professional development,” Kate said.
