Front Property Development

Project Overview

Spy Rock Real Estate Group has signed a land lease agreement with us to develop the front lot of our property. Spy Rock’s development will feature apartments, commercial tenants, and a hotel. They will also be constructing a new Broad Street entrance with a stoplight to improve access to our properties. The development of our front lot provides us with a strong financial start to our projects, making it possible for us to begin our construction much sooner. The neighborhood around us is transforming and we are looking forward to being a part of that change.

Project Details

  • Projected Start Date: October 2019
  • Projected Timeline: 18-24-month project
  • 4.5 acre development
Project Updates:
Construction has begun on the front lot. Safety fencing has gone up to protect the work site and tree removal is underway to clear the property. As of right now, there are no changes to traffic patterns for those coming onto the Richmond campus.

Child & Family Healing Center Development

Project Overview

UMFS will be developing a state-of-the-art residential treatment center to replace the current housing structures on campus. This new center will allow us to expand our treatment options to meet a wider range of needs, add warm and inviting indoor/outdoor spaces for youth and families to spend time together, and enhance the living space for our youth.

Project Details

  • Projected Start Date: Early 2020
  • Projected Timeline: 18-month project
  • 33,600 square feet building  |  Serving up to 50 youth
  • Replaces cottages 1-4

NOTE: No cottages will be removed until the new Child & Family Healing Center is complete. All youth will remain living in the cottages during the construction of our new facility, and will transition to the new building at its completion.

Project Updates:
Construction has not begun on the Child & Family Healing Center. Expected ground breaking is spring 2020.

Charterhouse School Development
