You Will Make a Difference
The children we serve are survivors. They have a spirit and determination that has not been defeated. They have a glimmer of hope that the world is not as unkind and cruel as their past experiences have shown. But they need your help.
Your gift will allow UMFS to provide top-notch care to children and families that have experienced abuse, neglect, trauma and/or crisis. Many of the opportunities we offer depend on your donations. Without your generosity, the following would not be possible: scholarships; experiential learning opportunities; field trips; music, art and horticulture education; support and training for potential and current foster and adoptive parents; holiday, adoption, birthday, commencement, and graduation parties; and chaplain services for the children, families and Guardian Place residents.

Matching Gifts
Employer matching gift programs are an easy way to increase the impact of your gift of cash or securities to UMFS. Obtain a matching gift application form from your Human Resources or Personnel Department. Many corporations also have this form available for downloading on their websites. Fill out the matching gift application form and send it to:

UMFS will complete the form and send it to your employer to process. Your employer will send the matching gift directly to UMFS. For more information on matching gift eligibility, please ask your employer or contact Brenda Foster at the UMFS Development Office at (804) 254-9450.
