Honor and remembrance donations are a special way to share love and healing with a child or family in need. Your thoughtful gift in honor of a birthday, anniversary, or a special remembrance upon someone’s passing will make a difference – and we will send a card to the respective friend or loved one letting them know about your gift.

Designation
Give to UMFS through the United Way, CFC, CVC, or your Local Governments & Schools Campaign. You can write in our legal name: United Methodist Family Services of Virginia, Inc. or enter the respective code as listed below; also, your campaign will often have a way to “search” for qualified charities.

Matching Gifts & Workplace Designation

Matching Gifts are company contributions that match the donations made by employees of that company. You can increase the value of your gift significantly with a matching gift. You also have the opportunity to assist UMFS through the United Way, CFC, CVC, or your Local Governments & Schools Campaign. You can write in our legal name: United Methodist Family Services of Virginia, Inc. and your campaign will often have a way to “search” for qualified charities. Donate Your Vehicle
We are pleased to be a member of V-DAC, Vehicle Donation to Any Charity. V-DAC accepts cars, trucks, motorcycles, RVs, boats, airplanes, farm equipment, etc. It is a free, convenient service for converting that extra car, truck, or RV into a tax-deductible donation benefiting United Methodist Family Services of Virginia. You can donate online or call 877-999-8322 to make your donation. You must contact V-DAC, not UMFS, to process this donation.

Giving Society Programs
The UMFS Giving Society Programs provide unrestricted funds from individuals, corporations, foundations, churches, and organizations that meet the greatest and most pressing needs of the agency. Gifts to the Giving Society Programs are tax-deductible.

UMFS recognizes donors each year at the following levels:

The Lillie B. Clements Society $2,500 to $4,999
